Vegan Croissants (5-Ingredients, Oil free!!)
I was in desperate need of a croissant but wanted to find a way to make them oil free and simple! Iβm not the greatest at recipes using yeast, but I can assure you that even these are easy to make! Only a few ingredients to these fluffy, buttery vegan croissants!
I loved serving these with a tofu scramble, avocado, and all the fixings to make an epic loaded avoid toast with a croissant as the toast! You could eat these any way you wish, sweet or savory. I also loved the combo of nut butter, jam, and an iced drink!
Vegan Croissants
Makes 8 servings
Ingredients:
1 packet instant yeast
1 cup warm water
1/2 cup melted coconut butter (I heated it on the stove until it was melty)
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
Directions:
Lightly mix the yeast and warm water, then let sit for around five minutes (it should bubble a little).
Add in the rest of the ingredients and mix gently until it is all just incorporated (add more flour 1 tablespoon at a time if it is too sticky, be careful to not over mix).
Roll the dough out on a floured surface, then slice into rectangles and slice those rectangles in half diagonally to create triangles and roll those into croissants!
Place these onto a lined baking sheet and cover with a clean towel, allow them to rise for around 30 minutes.
Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for around 20 minutes or until lightly golden, then enjoy!!
If you make these, I would love to see! Share on Instagram and tag @Thisfruitylife , I appreciate you!
