Gooey Caramelized Almond Butter Bars (V, Gf)
So I have heard of brown butter cookies and such, and based off my research these caramelized almond butter bars are the vegan version of that, but better since it’s a gooey cake slice with chocolate chips and coconut sugar baked into one!
Caramelized Almond Butter Bars
Makes 8 slices
Wet ingredients:
1/2 cup almond butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sweetened non dairy milk (you can sweeten yours with 1 tablespoon maple syrup if it is unsweetened)
Dry ingredients:
1/2 cup coconut sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup oat flour
1 tablespoon ground flax
1/3 cup chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a bread pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix together the wet ingredients, then add in the dry ingredients and mix it all again.
Let the batter sit for around 5 minutes.
Pour the batter into the lined bread pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, until nice and golden, then let cool completely before slicing and enjoy!
